After graduating from high school in 2013, Eileen Doctor studied Health Care Economics (B. Sc.) at the Wiesbaden Business School, RheinMain University of Applied Sciences from 2013 to 2016. In 2017, she continued her studies of Health Care Economics (M.Sc.) at the University of Bayreuth. Besides, she completed a research stay on the subject of user-centric hospital information systems at the University of Missouri, Department of Health Management and Informatics in Columbia, USA. During her studies, Eileen Doctor gained practical experience as an intern in management consulting and various healthcare institutions. She joined the FIM Research Center as a student research assistant in November 2017, and took on the role of research assistant in April 2020.
Within her research activities, Eileen Doctor focuses on issues in the context of eHealth, in particular on topics of digital transformation in healthcare institutions.
