Dr. Valerie Graf-Drasch is a post-doctoral student in Prof. Dr. Henner Gimpel’s department at the Research Center Finance & Information Management (FIM) and the Project Group Business and Information Systems Engineering of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT).
Valerie’s research interests are on the intersection of Information Systems (IS) and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. She is particularly interested in how and by what means IS can facilitate or even solve socially relevant problems in the area of ecological and social sustainability. Already during her doctorate, Valerie was motivated by the vision of looking at social challenges in terms of sustainability from a scientific perspective and making her own contribution to sustainable development. A second research focus of Valerie lies in the area of (virtual) group collaboration and specifically on the concept of “Collective Intelligence,” in which she primarily analyzes experimental data. In her research, Valerie uses a broad spectrum of methods, including both quantitative methods (especially meta-analyses, explorative factor analyses, structural equation models) and qualitative methods. Valerie regularly publishes in internationally renowned journals and conferences.
