Dr. Valerie Graf-Drasch is a co-head at the Research Center Finance & Information Management (FIM) and the Branch Business & Information Systems Engineering of the Fraunhofer FIT. She is also co-founder and head of the internal “Smart District & Mobility Unit.” This relates to a project and team portfolio of publicly funded research projects and industry projects in the area of Digital Sustainability. Additionally, Dr. Graf-Drasch is a post-doctoral researcher in digital management at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hohenheim.

In practice, research and teaching, Dr. Graf-Drasch is primarily concerned with issues at the interface of digitalization and sustainability. These include digital sustainable business models and transformations, the design of sustainable smart cities and districts, and the incentivization of individual sustainable behavior.

In her research, Dr. Graf-Drasch uses a broad range of methods, including quantitative methods (especially meta-analyses, exploratory factor analyses, and regression models) and qualitative methods. Dr. Graf-Drasch regularly publishes in internationally renowned journals and conferences.

Valerie Graf-Drasch received her doctorate with summa cum laude from the University of Augsburg in June 2020. Previously, she graduated from the elite network program Finance and Information Management (Master of Science with honors) at the Technical University of Munich and the University of Augsburg in 2016.
