Oliver Meindl completed his A-levels at the Joseph-Bernhart-Gymnasium in Türkheim in 2011. After his Computer Science Expert vocational training at UniCredit in Munich, he started his studies in Business & Information Systems Engineering in October 2014 at the University of Augsburg, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in 2017. From 2017 to 2020, he studied in the Elite Graduate Program Finance & Information Management at the University of Augsburg, the Technical University of Munich, and the University of Bayreuth. Oliver Meindl gained practical experience at Carl Zeiss Digital Innovation Partners in Munich as well as Dr. Oetker in Bielefeld and Helsinki. Furthermore, he spent a research stay at the Center for Collective Intelligence of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, MA, USA, as part of his master’s thesis. At the FIM Research Center and the project group, Business & Information Systems Engineering of Fraunhofer FIT, he started as a Student Research Assistant in March 2016 and is now a Doctoral Candidate since November 2020 at the Augsburg site.

In his research, Oliver Meindl focuses on how information technology (especially artificial intelligence and sensors) can be used to enable individuals or groups to make better decisions.
