Robert Keller is Professor for Information Management & Digitalization at the Faculty of Tourism Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Kempten as well as Deputy Academic Director of the Research Center Finance & Information Management. He also works in a leading position in the Branch Business & Information Systems Engineering of Fraunhofer FIT. In research and teaching, Prof. Keller mainly focuses on IT management, applied data analysis and sustainability. Within this context, he is also involved in the association “Open District Hub e.V.”. During his manifold activities in science and practice, Prof. Keller has already acquired and been responsible for various national and international applied research projects. In his research, Prof. Keller uses various methods, including data analysis as well as qualitative methods. He regularly publishes in internationally renowned journals and conferences and is an active reviewer for a number of renowned journals and conferences (e.g. Joule, Business Research, International Conference on Information Systems). Prof. Keller is also an Associate Editor for the European Conference on Information Systems and the International Conference on Wirtschaftsinformatik in 2020. Prior to his appointment at the University of Applied Sciences in Kempten, Prof. Keller worked as deputy department head at the Research Center Finance & Information Management as well as at Project Group Business & Information Systems Engineering at the Fraunhofer FIT at the universities of Augsburg and Bayreuth until 2020. While working as a research assistant, Prof. Keller received his doctorate with “summa cum laude“ from the University of Bayreuth in 2019.
