Philip Karnebogen graduated from the Fachoberschule Passau in 2013. From 2014 to 2017, Philip studied industrial engineering and management at the University of Augsburg, majoring in finance, operations and information management. From October 2017 to June 2020 he studied the master’s program of Industrial Engineering and Management with focus on Management and Sustainability at the University of Augsburg. Philip acquired further knowledge in the field of information technology by completing an additional qualification in Digitalization for Industrial Engineers. During his studies he gained practical experience at KUKA AG (IT project and program management) and BMW AG (IT project management of Industry 4.0 solutions for manufacturing). He started as a student assistant in April 2014 in Augsburg, Germany, at the core competence center Finance & Information Management. Since August 2020 he is a research assistant at the core competence center Finance & Information Management and the Fraunhofer project group Business Information Systems.
Mr. Karnebogen focuses his research activities on the implications of AI for existing products & services, data-driven business models and the associated digital transformation of companies and industries.
