Patrick Rövekamp graduated from the Maria-Wächtler-Gymnasium in Essen in 2014. From 2014 to 2017, he then enrolled in industrial engineering and management (B.Sc.) with a major in materials resource management. Patrick acquired further knowledge in the field of information technology by completing an additional qualification in digitalization for industrial engineers. From 2017 to 2020, he studied in the elite graduate program Finance & Information Management (Master of Science with honors) at the Technical University of Munich, the University of Augsburg, and the University of Bayreuth with a major in energy & resource management. During his studies he gained practical experience at LEW AG (Business Development B2B Key Accounts) and Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG (New Business Development/Intrapreneurship). He started as a student assistant at the Research Center Finance & Information Management in May 2015. At the FIM Research Center and the project group Business & Information Systems Engineering of Fraunhofer FIT, he started as a research assistant in Mai 2014 and is a Doctoral Candidate since October 2020.
Within his research, Patrick Rövekamp deals with questions in the field of digital transformation of companies, especially related business ecosystem strategies and the development of new business models.
