Thomas Sachs is a research assistant at the University of Bayreuth, Germany, as well as at the Research Center Finance & Information Management. He studied Business Administration (B.Sc. & M.Sc.) at University of Bayreuth and EDHEC Business School, France. During his studies, he specialized in Business Information Systems, Accounting, and Finance. He also gained hands-on experience at KPMG IT Advisory, PwC Risk Assurance Solutions, and Deutsche Bank Group Technology, among others.

In his research activities, Thomas Sachs focuses on IT-supported energy management—Demand Side Management in particular—and cloud computing.
