In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has found its way into private and business life in many ways. However, decision makers face the following challenges: 

  • Lack of knowledge about AI applications and their business impact 
  • Machine Learning leads to a paradigm shift in application development 
  • Companies need to develop know-how and new skills 

The Project Group Business & Information Systems Engineering of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT at the Universities of Augsburg and Bayreuth conduct research on practice-oriented questions in the field of AI in various research projects and initiatives. The application of AI and its business influence as well as the design of the organizational context and the required organizational capabilities are subject of this research.
