Ricarda Schäfer

Curriculum Vitae
Ricarda Schäfer has completed her bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in “International Logistics Management and Engineering” at Jacobs University Bremen. She then enrolled in the elite graduate program Finance & Information Management (Master of Science with honors) at the Technical University of Munich, the University of Augsburg, and the University of Bayreuth. In the course of her master’s thesis, she conducted research in the area of collective intelligence with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). During her studies, she gained practical experiences at Procter & Gamble in the Supply Network Operations Team (Geneva), at Johnson Controls in Continuous Improvement (Hanover), at Beiersdorf in Materials Management (Barcelona), as well as in the Natural Language Processing Start-Up deepset (Munich/ Berlin). At the FIM Research Center and the project group Business & Information Systems Engineering of Fraunhofer FIT, Ricarda Schäfer started as a research assistant in September 2018 and as a Doctoral Candidate in October 2020 in Augsburg.
Main Research
In her research, Ricarda Schäfer mainly focuses on the potential of digital innovation and digital technologies for reaching sustainability related goals within organizations.
