Sebastian Schmid graduated from the Ringeisen-Gymnasium in Ursberg in 2014. He went on to study business administration at the University of Bayreuth, where he earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree. In addition to his studies, he gained a lot of experience in the field of software development and data science during internships. Most recently, he worked for almost two years as a student trainee in the Data Science department at BAUR Versand GmbH. Sebastian Schmid started at the Research Center Finance & Information Management and the Fraunhofer FIT Branch Business & Information Systems Engineering in February 2022 as a research assistant in Bayreuth.
In the context of his research, Mr. Schmid deals with the question to what extent data science methods can support process mining.
